Summary
As Head of Product you understand how to lead a team to deliver an overall experience that is fun, rewarding and valuable to its users, using entertainment to influence behavior.
You lead your world-class cross functional team of designers, artists, developers, data analysts and more in a fast-growing company, helping to define and execute the Ander’s vision. You take responsibility for team management and mentoring, as well as being a key member of the project leadership group. You are familiar with all aspects of development, recognizing and respecting the value of each contribution — whether creative or analytic. Demonstrate an efficient and cohesive management track record with the ability to support, develop and inspire your team. We expect highly collaborative, flexible, motivated and approachable candidates who depend on their excellent communication skills honed through delivery of public-pleasing, highly engaging experiences.
Responsibilities
Champion a user-centered engagement culture, define the product roadmap, and lead collaborative execution against it.
Communicate product vision and priorities to internal and external stakeholders.
Work closely with internal and external development teams to direct the focus of the project with an eye towards compelling engagement through modern digital experience design, game design and community management techniques.
Continuously gather insights from data, community feedback, research, experiments to understand user interest and intent. Synthesize these learnings into design conversations, craft the roadmap and feature requirements, lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering results on time, and quickly iterate to drive greater user engagement.
Oversee the development of visionary demos and prototypes, creating engaging, innovative, emotional and transformative experiences, both through digital and real-world touchpoints.
Anticipate threats/blockers to vision, quality, and innovation, lead teams, development partners, and stakeholders to pivot quickly and effectively, and develop new approaches where there are no precedents.
Partner with the COO to establish an efficient, proactive and flexible process that improves overall delivery, quality and consistency.
Qualifications
BA/BS in CS, Design, Psychology, or related field.
Minimum of 7 years in product leadership with at least 5 years experience managing a collaborative product team with high retention rates and a proven record of moving mobile-first multi-platform products from concept to market.
Passion for creating engaging, innovative, emotional and transformative experiences, both through digital and real-world touchpoints.
Experience in data driven development, working collaboratively with a cross-functional production team.
Demonstrable background in hands-on evaluation and feedback of funnel analysis, onboarding, (game) mechanics and, user centered design.
Outstanding interpersonal skills, genuine curiosity, analytical thinking, fastidiousness, high pattern recognition, and the ability to work well in a highly collaborative environment.
Excellent knowledge of software engineering best practices (Agile software development, test-driven development, unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, continuous integration).

Additional Preferred Competencies
Experience in hardware/software combined solutions, including working with manufacturing partners.
Passion for playing and making games and an excellent understanding of what makes them fun.
Experience with rapid prototyping, hardware development and manufacturing and/or data-driven design and development.
Entertainment industry experience in another discipline (programming, art, production, audio, editing, directing, etc.).
Conversant in current trends in employee engagement, games, design and software development.
Background or experience in economics, social products, or game development.
